Oh, it IS ironic! I just feel it is way so beyond ironic. It is one thing for the continuum of lack of GLBT rights, health care and our economy from Bush to Obama. As Obama stated himself, “some will kill, some will be killed”. Obama is continuing the actions that so many around the world wanted to bring Bush up on war crimes. Where is the outrage? No, give him a medal. BS!

Morgan, it’s ironic in the same way Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” was ironic when he suggested that the Irish famine problem could be solved by fattening up and eating Irish babies. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee is showing how Obama is so not the progressive candidate he presented himself as by giving him a peace award just after he escalates a war. They are very subtle, those Nobels …

It cannot be anything else, right? I mean, Alfred Nobel, the man who invented dynamite, stated in his will that a Peace Prize should be awarded to:

“the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses.”

Isn’t that ironic?

Ironic? I’m thinking more along the lines of hypocritical, slanderous to those who’s actions were truly peaceful & if he had one ounce of character he would have refused it. He can build his reputation all he wants,but it doesn’t mean diddly without character.
