If you think traveling for work is “fun,” then you should come sit with me right this moment and be cleared of your misunderstanding. I am at a work retreat for 2 days, working on topics I know only a little about — in other words, much of the topics are murky to me. On a good day, that would be okay because I’d be up for the challenge. But today I have a rather nasty head cold, so I begged out of dinner, and am at this moment sitting in bed in my hotel room somewhere on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with my laptop and a brand new box of Puffs. I’ve taken my benedryl and wold love to just turn out the light and go to sleep. But alas, I await the arrival of my “roomie,” a woman I just met today — who seems perfectly nice, but who will probably not be thrilled to hear me snore all night with my stuffed up nose.
