Wednesday Poetry Break

I think Edward Lear deserves to be highlighted today, if for no other reason than the fact he was able to rhyme with the word “Thermopylæ” !

There was an Old Man of Thermopylæ

There was an old man of Thermopylæ,
Who never did anything properly;
But they said, “If you choose, To boil eggs in your shoes,
You shall never remain in Thermopylæ.”
