According to The New York Times, these are some of the top contenders for Team Super Duper Congressional Committee, or whatever this thing is called that’s going to solve the debt problems of our nation:
I have a couple of problems with this group. (A), aren’t these the same people who just spent months in a stalemate over the very same issues? And (B) um, hello, diversity? I know the pickin’s are slim in the Senate for women and people of shades other than white, but the House has many members who are more demographically representative of the actual population of this country.
Would it be so unreasonable to have one or two of those people at the table, too?
